Rigetti Computing appointed David Rivas as Chief Operating Officer and Andrew Bestwick as Chief Technology Officer, effective August 18, 2026. Mr. Rivas, previously CTO since February 2023, receives an annual base salary of $440,000 for his new role overseeing manufacturing, systems delivery, commercial functions, and customer-facing engineering. Dr. Bestwick, formerly Senior Vice President of Quantum Systems, assumes the CTO position to lead quantum processor development, chip fabrication, and hardware engineering. This organizational restructuring establishes a dedicated Systems Delivery organization to scale on-premises deployments while allowing engineering teams to focus on advancing processor performance and achieving a target of 99.5% median two-qubit gate fidelity on the Cepheus-1-108Q system. Rigetti Computing operates in the quantum computing industry, designing and manufacturing full-stack quantum systems based on superconducting qubits.
