RLI Corp. reported third quarter 2026 net earnings of $81.0 million, or $0.88 per diluted share, compared to $124.6 million, or $1.35 per share, in the same period last year. Operating earnings were $79.3 million ($0.86 per share), up from $75.8 million ($0.82 per share). Underwriting income was $58.8 million on an 86.2 combined ratio, driven by a $20.1 million net favorable development in prior years' loss reserves. Gross premiums written increased 2% and net investment income rose 13%. The company also repurchased approximately $6.3 million of shares during the quarter.
