SCYXScynexis Inc

SCYNEXIS, Inc. entered into a material definitive agreement with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to support the development of SCY-247, its second-generation antifungal candidate. The contract provides up to $214 million in potential non-dilutive funding if all options are exercised, with an initial base period commencing in September 2026 providing approximately $18.5 million. These funds will advance oral and intravenous SCY-247 into a Phase 2 study for invasive candidiasis, with the possibility of extending development through New Drug Application submissions for two indications over up to ten years. The company expects to fund its share of near-term costs within existing operating plans, leaving its cash runway into 2029 and SCY-770 development plans unchanged. SCYNEXIS is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to advancing innovative solutions for severe rare diseases.
