Septerna selects SEP-204 as development candidate for Graves’ disease and TED, plans Phase 1 in Q1 2027

Septerna announced the selection of SEP-204 as its potential first-in-class development candidate for treating Graves' disease and thyroid eye disease (TED). The oral small molecule acts as a negative allosteric modulator of the TSHR. Preclinical data demonstrated potent TSHR inhibition, restoration of normal thyroid hormone levels, and reversal of thyroid enlargement and orbital proptosis in animal models.
