SiriusPoint appoints former Progressive CFO John Sauerland to Board effective Jan. 1

SiriusPoint Ltd. announced the appointment of John Sauerland to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2027. Mr. Sauerland will serve as a Class I director until the 2029 annual general meeting. He brings over 35 years of insurance industry experience, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Progressive Insurance. The Board has determined he qualifies as an independent director and an audit committee financial expert. Compensation will align with other non-employee directors under standard agreements. SiriusPoint is a global specialty underwriter providing property, casualty, accident, and health insurance and reinsurance solutions.
