SSPE.W. SCRIPPS Co
The E.W. Scripps Company reported third-quarter 2026 results with total revenue of $545 million, a 3.6% increase from the prior-year period. Income attributable to shareholders was $20.7 million, or $0.21 per share, compared to a loss of $49 million in the year-ago quarter. The Local Media segment drove growth with revenue up 15% to $373 million, largely due to an $80.6 million surge in political advertising during the midterm election cycle. Scripps Networks division revenue declined 14% to $173 million as core advertising demand softened, though Connected TV revenue grew 37%. The company plans to use Q4 political ad proceeds and existing cash to pay down at least $150 million of debt. The E.W. Scripps Company is a diversified media company that operates local television stations and national entertainment networks.
