Tower Semiconductor and Semtech expand SiGe partnership to secure dedicated capacity for AI data center interconnects

TSEMTower Semiconductor Ltd

Tower Semiconductor and Semtech announced an expanded multi-year agreement to scale power-efficient analog connectivity for next-generation AI infrastructure. Under the terms, Semtech will invest in securing dedicated silicon germanium (SiGe) manufacturing capacity across Tower's global fab network, including facilities in the United States, Israel, and Japan. This expansion supports growing demand for optical and copper interconnects required for high-speed data transmission in AI clusters. The partnership builds on a 20-year relationship and aims to provide supply resilience as industry standards advance from 800G to 1.6T and eventually 3.2T speeds. Tower Semiconductor Ltd. is the leading foundry of high-value analog semiconductor solutions, providing technology platforms for consumer, industrial, automotive, and infrastructure markets.
