Village Farms International announced that Hamid Shekarchi has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer effective September 10, 2026, succeeding Stephen Ruffini. Mr. Shekarchi previously served as CFO of the Company’s Canadian Cannabis operations and brings extensive financial leadership experience. Mr. Ruffini will cease serving as CFO but will remain a full-time employee as Head of M&A, Corporate Secretary, and advisor to the CEO. The transition is part of a previously announced succession plan and is not due to any disagreement with management. Village Farms operates in the cannabis, plant-based consumer packaged goods, and sustainable innovation industries.
