On July 10, 2026, Vodafone Group Plc announced that Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC (e&) agreed to dispose of its entire shareholding in Vodafone to Vega, an acquisition vehicle owned by the Niel family group. Consequently, the relationship agreement between Vodafone and e& dated May 11, 2023, has been terminated. Hatem Dowidar, the e& nominee director, resigned from Vodafone's Board with immediate effect. Vodafone is a European and African telecommunications company providing mobile, broadband, IoT, and financial services.
