Vertex Pharmaceuticals appoints Daniel Brennan to its board of directors

On October 20, 2026, Vertex Pharmaceuticals appointed Daniel Brennan as a new member of the Board of Directors. In connection with this appointment, the size of the Board was increased from ten to eleven members, and Mr. Brennan joined the Audit and Finance Committee. Mr. Brennan previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Boston Scientific Corporation until his retirement in June 2025. He also holds board seats at Waters Corporation and Madrigal Pharmaceuticals. Upon joining the Board, he received a $400,000 restricted stock unit award vesting in October 2027. Vertex Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing treatments for cystic fibrosis and other serious diseases.
