Woodside signs 20-year LNG supply agreement with QatarEnergy for up to 3 Mtpa

Woodside Energy Group Ltd has signed a long-term sale and purchase agreement with QatarEnergy for the supply of up to 3 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The 20-year contract covers volumes from Woodside's Louisiana LNG Project, which is currently under construction near Lake Charles, Louisiana. Supply will begin with Train 2 and increase to 3 Mtpa upon the start-up of Train 3. This agreement adds to a previously announced deal with Uniper, providing sustained revenue certainty for a material portion of the project's production as it targets first LNG in 2029. Woodside Energy Group Ltd is an energy company focused on the exploration and production of oil and natural gas.
