On August 25, 2026, Zymeworks Inc. announced that partner Jazz Pharmaceuticals received FDA approval for two Ziihera (zanidatamab-hrii) regimens for first-line treatment of HER2-positive gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma. This regulatory milestone triggered a $250 million payment to Zymeworks, bringing total upfront and milestone payments from Jazz to $650 million. The company remains eligible for up to $1.3 billion in additional regulatory and commercial milestones plus tiered royalties of 10% to 20% on net sales.
