Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM) has signed a definitive agreement with Alltech to form a North American Animal Feed Joint Venture, which is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026. The transaction involves combining Alltech’s 33 feed mills in the U.S. and Canada with ADM’s 11 U.S. complete feed mills. This strategic move allows ADM to deconsolidate its complete feed business and pivot its Nutrition segment toward higher-margin specialty ingredients and higher-value growth.
