Anfield Energy Inc. announced that its Velvet-Wood uranium and vanadium project in Utah received Concept Approval for its water treatment plan from the Utah Division of Water Quality and submitted a request to reactivate Outfall under the mine’s active UPDES Permit. Subject to final approval, the company targets commencing treated-water discharge in the second week of November 2026, specifically around November 7. This milestone follows the first underground blast in nearly 40 years and rehabilitation of the initial 700 feet of the decline. Once discharge begins, Anfield expects the remaining decline to dewater within approximately one month, with the existing underground workings requiring two to three months to fully dewater. The company operates as a uranium and vanadium development and near-term production company focused on U.S.-based assets.
