The Utah Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control provided Anfield Energy with draft copies of a renewed radioactive materials license and a proposed groundwater discharge permit for its Shootaring Canyon Mill. The Draft License authorizes the possession of natural uranium and byproduct material, limiting mill production to 1,500 tons (3 million pounds) of yellowcake per year. It also requires maintained financial surety and compliance with monitoring standards. Anfield is reviewing the documents and anticipates a public comment period commencing by late 2026 or early 2027. The company continues site preparation under its existing license, targeting major refurbishment in the second quarter of 2027 to restore domestic uranium and vanadium milling capacity. Anfield Energy is a uranium and vanadium development and near-term production company committed to becoming a significant supplier of energy-related fuels through sustainable growth of its U.S.-based assets.
