Annexon, Inc. announced the immediate resignation of Muneer Satter from its Board of Directors and all committees after more than eleven years of service. Simultaneously, the company appointed Mark S. Blumenkranz, M.D., M.M.S., a renowned retinal surgeon and biotechnology entrepreneur, as a Class II director effective August 10, 2026. Dr. Blumenkranz will serve on the Audit Committee and Science and Technology committee. He received an initial stock option grant for 175,000 shares in lieu of the standard annual automatic grant. Mr. Satter's departure was not due to any disagreements regarding operations or strategy. Annexon is a biopharmaceutical company developing targeted immunotherapies for neuroinflammatory diseases.
