Annexon, Inc. issued a press release on August 6, 2026, reporting early clinical data from the open-label FORWARD study of tanruprubart for Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). The initial cohort included ten U.S. and European patients who demonstrated rapid improvement in muscle strength within four days and reduced disability following a single infusion of 30 mg/kg tanruprubart. Four bedbound patients regained the ability to walk between day two and eight, and one ventilated patient was extubated within four days. These results reinforce consistency with Phase 3 findings where approximately 90% of patients showed improvement by day 8. The data is expected to support a Biologics License Application (BLA) submission targeted for Q4 2026, while the Marketing Authorisation Application remains under review by the European Medicines Agency. Annexon operates in the biopharmaceutical industry, developing targeted immunotherapies for neuroinflammatory diseases.
