Kim R. Cocklin to retire as Chairman effective 2027 Annual Meeting; J. Kevin Akers to assume role

Atmos Energy Corp announced that Kim R. Cocklin will retire from the Board and step down as Chairman of the Board, effective as of the date of the company’s 2027 annual meeting of shareholders. Mr. Cocklin reached mandatory retirement age under the company's Corporate Governance Guidelines and intends to continue serving as Chairman through the 2027 Annual Meeting to ensure a seamless transition. The board approved changes to combine the roles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, with President and CEO J. Kevin Akers set to assume the Chairmanship upon Mr. Cocklin’s departure, subject to re-election at the annual meeting. Nancy K. Quinn will continue as Lead Director. Atmos Energy Corporation is a natural gas-only distributor that delivers reliable natural gas to approximately 3.4 million customers across eight states.
