aTyr Pharma, Inc. entered into a termination agreement with Kyorin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., effective July 30, 2026, mutually ending their collaboration and license agreement for efzofitimod in Japan. This action reverts exclusive rights to develop and commercialize the drug globally to aTyr Pharma. The parties also terminated associated ancillary agreements and established wind-down procedures, including the transfer of clinical data and regulatory filings from Kyorin to aTyr. No outstanding payments were due between the entities. aTyr Pharma is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapies for rare diseases.
