The Boeing Company reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $24.188 billion, a 4% increase from the prior year period, driven by higher defense and services volume partially offset by an unfavorable commercial delivery mix. The company posted a GAAP net loss attributable to shareholders of $116 million, or ($0.26) per diluted share, compared to a loss of $5.3 billion in the same quarter last year. Operating cash flow improved significantly to $1.496 billion from $1.123 billion, while free cash flow reached $464 million. Total backlog grew to a record $745 billion, including over 6,300 commercial airplanes valued at $612 billion. The Defense segment benefited from a $252 million gain on the sale of HRL Laboratories and was selected by the U.S. Navy for the F/A-XX fighter program. Boeing operates in the aerospace industry, designing, manufacturing, and servicing commercial jetliners, defense aircraft, and space systems.
