Braskem reported Recurring EBITDA of US$1 billion for Q2 2026, driven by higher international chemical spreads following Middle East supply disruptions. The company generated R$1,928 million in operating cash flow and recorded net income attributable to shareholders of US$664 million. Braskem continues capital structure restructuring negotiations with creditors, having received non-binding proposals but reaching no consensus. Consequently, credit ratings were downgraded by Fitch to C and S&P to D. The company suspended certain financial payments covered by an Emergency Injunctive Relief in Brazil and a Chapter 15 proceeding in the US, which granted automatic stays for 60 days. Braskem Idesa remains engaged in negotiations with bondholders regarding its own capital structure reorganization. Braskem operates in the petrochemical industry as the largest producer of resins in the Americas.
