Bruce Sewell joins BAT Board as independent Non-Executive Director effective January 1, 2027

British American Tobacco p.l.c. announced that Bruce Sewell will join its Board as an independent Non-Executive Director on January 1, 2027. He will serve on the Audit and Nominations Committees. Sewell previously served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Apple Inc. from 2009 to 2018, covering legal, compliance, ethics, and government relations. The company also announced internal committee reshuffles effective November 30, 2026: Véronique Laury will move from the Audit Committee to the Remuneration Committee, while Serpil Timuray will move from the Remuneration Committee to the Audit Committee. BAT operates in the tobacco and nicotine products industry.
