Cintas agrees to acquire UniFirst for $3.7B; FTC issues Second Request, deal expected to close H2 2026

Cintas Corporation entered into a merger agreement with UniFirst Corporation on March 10, 2026, and on June 11, 2026, both companies received a Second Request from the FTC to provide additional information regarding the regulatory review of the transaction. UniFirst shareholders have approved the acquisition, and Cintas expects the transaction to close in the second half of 2026. Cintas Corporation is a provider of uniform and facility services.
