EchoStar subsidiary DISH DBS emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy after $4.35B debt reduction

EchoStar Corporation reports that its subsidiary, DISH DBS Corporation, emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy on October 1, 2026, following the satisfaction of conditions precedent for its prepackaged plan. The restructuring resulted in a reduction of aggregate outstanding indebtedness by approximately $4.35 billion through debt restructuring and partial early repayment of senior notes. Consequently, DISH DBS will be reconsolidated into EchoStar's financial statements as of the effective date. EchoStar operates in the satellite communications and broadcasting industry.
