Ericsson simplifies Group structure, appoints Patrick Johansson as Head of APAC

Ericsson announced a simplification of its group structure to leverage R&D capabilities and drive efficiencies. A new Market Area Asia-Pacific (APAC) will be established on January 1, 2027, combining North East Asia, South East Asia, Oceania, and India markets, with Patrick Johansson appointed as Head of APAC. The Business Area Enterprise Wireless Solutions portfolio is being reorganized to better align with core network businesses. Three executives—Åsa Tamsons, Chafic Nassif, and Andres Vicente—are transitioning from the Executive Team effective December 31, 2026. Ericsson provides mobile communication and connectivity solutions for service providers and enterprises.
