Evofem Biosciences signs manufacturing deal to cut PHEXX unit costs by 40% or more

Evofem Biosciences entered into a Manufacturing Agreement with Zhaoke to produce PHEXX, its hormone-free contraceptive vaginal gel. This second manufacturing source is expected to improve supply chain flexibility and reduce unit costs by 40% or more following regulatory approval. The company plans to submit a supplemental new drug application (sNDA) to the FDA in mid-2027 for PHEXX manufactured at this additional facility, with commercial sales anticipated upon approval.
