Evotec SE announced the initiation of a Phase 1 clinical trial for JST-018, an investigational monoclonal antibody cocktail targeting orthopoxviruses. The program was developed by its subsidiary Just – Evotec Biologics under the U.S. Department of War’s Accelerated Antibodies Program in collaboration with BARDA. Manufacturing occurred at the company's J.POD® facility in Redmond using continuous bioprocessing. This contract is part of two agreements with a combined potential value of up to $123.9 million, following an initial 2022 award for plague antibodies.
