On August 26, 2026, Fervo Energy's subsidiary Cape Generating Station 6 LLC entered into a Power Purchase Agreement with Google Energy LLC to sell energy from a 396 MW enhanced geothermal systems project at Cape Station in Utah. The agreement features a 15-year term and delivery in four successive 99 MW sub-tranches, with commercial operation beginning in the third quarter of 2028. Fervo also offered Google an option to expand capacity by approximately 600 MW, potentially reaching nearly 1 GW total contracted capacity by June 2030.
