HUTCHMED announced positive high-level results from the SANOVO Phase III trial in China for treatment-naïve patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer harboring EGFR mutations and MET overexpression. The combination of ORPATHYS (savolitinib) plus TAGRISSO (osimertinib) demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in progression-free survival compared to TAGRISSO alone in both high MET and intention-to-treat populations. Encouraging overall survival benefits were also observed as a secondary endpoint, with no new safety findings reported. The trial randomized 326 patients, building on prior successes from the SACHI and SAFFRON trials.
