On June 4, 2026, ImmuCell's Board of Directors authorized a manufacturing capacity expansion program to pivot from in-house Re-Tain® production to expanded First Defense® production. The first phase begins immediately, involving the renovation of the former Re-Tain® facility and the addition of a new freeze dryer, with an estimated cost of $3.5 million and a 12-month timeline. A second phase will repurpose equipment and add automation to increase colostrum processing capacity. ImmuCell is a biotechnology company that develops and manufactures animal health products.
