IperionX Limited announced that the U.S. Army awarded Task Order 2 under its existing US$99 million SBIR Phase III contract for Low-Cost, Domestic Titanium for Defense Applications. The task order has a base value of US$18.5 million, with US$11.5 million currently funded and obligated to cover three priority industrialization work packages and an initial allotment to a fourth. Unexercised options could increase the total potential value to US$25.4 million. Funding supports equipment for continuous HSPT™ processing and in-house titanium fastener finishing at IperionX’s Virginia facility, aiming to expand domestic powder-to-part manufacturing capacity for defense applications such as track pins and bolts. The period of performance is from August 28, 2026, to August 27, 2030. IperionX Limited operates in the advanced materials and mining industry, utilizing patented technologies to produce titanium metals and critical minerals.
