Kiora Pharmaceuticals entered into an exclusive license agreement with Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corporation (CKD) for the development and commercialization of its KIO-301 product in South Korea. The deal includes a $1 million upfront payment, potential milestone payments, and double-digit royalties on net sales. CKD will lead local activities while coordinating with existing partners Laboratoires Théa and Senju Pharmaceutical for a global Phase 3 trial for retinitis pigmentosa. This agreement completes Kiora's major regional partnerships for KIO-301 across the U.S., Europe, Japan, China, and South Korea. The company will redirect internal resources to advance its KIO-104 pipeline and evaluate other therapeutic applications.
