On August 6, 2026, Centrus Energy Corp. signed a definitive contract with X-energy to supply low enriched uranium (LEU) and high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) for advanced reactor deployments. Deliveries from the American Centrifuge Plant in Pike County, Ohio, are scheduled to begin in 2030. The agreement includes prepayments from X-energy to support Centrus' domestic commercial enrichment capacity program. This deal adds to Centrus' existing $3 billion contingent LEU and HALEU backlog, of which $2.4 billion is definitized.
