Lightspeed reports $646.5M revenue for H1 FY27, cancels 8.2M shares in buyback

The company incurred a net loss of $6.7 million, significantly improved from an $82.3 million loss in the same period last year, driven by reduced amortization expenses and higher gross profit. During the quarter, Lightspeed repurchased and cancelled 8,154,744 shares under its Normal Course Issuer Bid for approximately $76.6 million. The company also divested its Upserve U.S. hospitality product line in April 2026. Lightspeed operates a cloud-based commerce platform providing software, payments, and financial services to small and medium-sized businesses globally.
