Lightbridge Corporation announced on August 31, 2026, that it has been selected to participate in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Nuclear Energy Launch Pad INL program administered by the National Reactor Innovation Center at Idaho National Laboratory. This selection provides an accelerated pathway for Lightbridge to design, build, and operate a dedicated facility known as the Special HALEU Extrusion Demonstration (SHED) under DOE authorization to manufacture Lead Test Assemblies of its proprietary metallic nuclear fuel for testing in commercial power reactors.
