Lightbridge Corporation reported a net loss of $5.8 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, and $12.1 million for the first half of fiscal year 2026. Cash and cash equivalents increased to $237.5 million from $201.9 million at year-end 2025, driven by $43.9 million in net proceeds from an at-the-market equity offering that sold 3.8 million shares. Operating expenses rose significantly, with R&D increasing to $4.0 million and G&A to $3.7 million for the quarter, largely due to higher compensation and stock-based awards. The company advanced its fuel development program by removing irradiated material samples from the Advanced Test Reactor at Idaho National Laboratory for post-irradiation examination. Additionally, Lightbridge secured patent allowances in the U.S. and Europe, partnered with Studsvik Scandpower for core management software modeling, signed an MOU with Quadrant Nuclear Industries for HALEU supply, and was added to the Solactive Global Uranium & Nuclear Components Total Return Index. Lightbridge Corporation operates in the advanced nuclear fuel technology industry, developing proprietary next-generation fuel designs to enhance reactor safety and power output.
