Moleculin reports 43% and 36% remission rates for Annamycin in interim AML trial data

Annamycin, the company's lead drug candidate, showed complete remission rates of 43% and 36% in two treatment arms compared to 12% in the placebo arm among the first 45 patients in its pivotal Phase 2/3 MB-108 trial for relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia. The independent Data Monitoring Committee recommended continuing the study without amendment, noting no signs of cardiotoxicity. These results will be presented at the upcoming American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting.
