MBX Biosciences announced one-year data from Phase 2 Avail™ and open-label extension clinical trials for canvuparatide, a potential once-weekly PTH replacement therapy for chronic hypoparathyroidism. At the 12-week mark, 63% of canvuparatide-treated patients achieved the primary composite endpoint compared to 31% for placebo. One-year data showed a 57% responder rate among evaluable patients with no rescue therapy required in the final week. The drug demonstrated consistent pharmacokinetic profiles, improved kidney function via increased eGFR, and maintained serum calcium within normal ranges.
