Moderna appointed Juan Andres as its new Chief Operating Officer effective October 5, 2026, in a newly created role designed to support the company's increasing scale and diversification into oncology. Mr. Andres, who previously served at Moderna from 2017 to 2023, will report to CEO Stephane Bancel with an initial annual base salary of $800,000, a target cash bonus of 90% of base salary, and a new hire equity award valued at $5,000,000. Concurrently, Jerh Collins retired from his position as Chief Technical Operations and Quality Officer following four years of leadership.
