PowerBank Corporation has been awarded a contract by the New York Power Authority to develop and construct a 1.628 MW DC ground-mount solar project at SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, NY. The project, executed through PowerBank's wholly owned U.S. subsidiary Abundant Solar Power Inc., is expected to generate recurring energy revenue for campus facilities and qualify for approximately US$1.4 million in federal investment tax credits. The estimated construction value of the project is $3.58 million USD. PowerBank will own and operate the system once construction is complete, following the receipt of necessary building permits. This development supports the university's Clean Energy Master Plan and New York State’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
