Two labs confirm RHB-204's MAP-killing effect and comparability to RHB-104 for Crohn's disease

RDHLRedHill Biopharma Ltd.

RedHill Biopharma announced that in vitro studies by two leading microbiology centers confirmed its investigational drug RHB-204 kills Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) and demonstrated MAP-killing comparability to its approved candidate RHB-104. The studies, led by researchers at City St George’s University of London and Queen’s University Belfast, showed efficacy across multiple human and animal MAP strains without inducing tolerance. These findings support the development of RHB-204 for MAP-related Crohn's disease, building on RHB-104's positive Phase 3 results where it was 64% more effective than standard care alone. RedHill Biopharma is a specialty biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing proprietary drugs for gastrointestinal diseases, infectious diseases, and oncology.
