Banco Santander completed the acquisition of Webster Financial Corporation on August 20, 2026. The bank also executed a capital increase through non-cash contributions approved in March 2026, issuing 329,846,438 new shares at an issue price of EUR 10.7896 per share. This transaction raised approximately EUR 3.56 billion and increased the bank's share capital to EUR 7.51 billion, representing 15,019,165,940 shares with a nominal value of EUR 0.50 each.
