Aptera Motors entered a strategic partnership with Shanghai Launch Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. to serve as its manufacturing and contract-engineering partner. The company agreed to pay up to RMB 300 million for services, structured as two-thirds in cash (up to RMB 200 million) and one-third via warrants (up to RMB 100 million). On August 14, 2026, Aptera issued 3,369,629 initial warrants worth RMB 50 million with a $2.20 exercise price, exercisable only against approved invoices. This agreement secures critical production capabilities for the company, which operates in the electric vehicle industry and designs solar-electric vehicles.
