SpyGlass Pharma reports positive 4-year interim data from first-in-human trial of BIM-IOL System

SGPSpyGlass Pharma, Inc.

SpyGlass Pharma announced positive four-year interim safety and efficacy results for its Bimatoprost Drug Pad-IOL System (BIM-IOL) in a first-in-human trial involving patients with mild-to-moderate open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension undergoing cataract surgery. The data showed a 37% reduction in mean intraocular pressure across all dose groups, with 86% of the 21 evaluable patients remaining off topical IOP-lowering drops and 90% maintaining visual acuity of at least 20/25. No product-related adverse events were reported during the follow-up period. The company plans to continue long-term patient monitoring through 2029 while advancing the program toward a New Drug Application submission with the FDA. SpyGlass Pharma is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company developing sustained drug delivery solutions for chronic eye conditions.
