Grupo Simec reported net income of Ps. 2,317 million for the first six months ended June 30, 2026, a 662% increase from Ps. 304 million in the prior year period. Net sales rose 9% to Ps. 16,186 million, driven by a 16% volume increase in finished steel shipments to 1.046 million tons, partially offset by a 6% decline in average selling prices. Operating profit grew 5% to Ps. 2,763 million, while EBITDA increased 6% to Ps. 3,354 million. The significant earnings improvement was primarily attributable to a reduction in net foreign exchange losses from Ps. 2,332 million in 2025 to Ps. 365 million in 2026.
