Grupo Simec reports 428% jump in net income to Ps. 4,028 million for first nine months of 2026

Grupo Simec reported a 428% increase in net income attributable to controlling interests, rising from Ps. 763 million in the prior-year period to Ps. 4,028 million for the first nine months of 2026. The surge was primarily driven by a reversal of foreign exchange losses into a Ps. 280 million gain, compared to a Ps. 3,050 million loss in 2025. Net sales grew 10% to Ps. 24,569 million, supported by a 14% increase in finished steel shipments to 1.597 million tons, partially offset by a 4% decline in average selling prices. Gross profit increased 9% to Ps. 5,933 million, while EBITDA rose 3% to Ps. 4,724 million. The company operates in the steel manufacturing industry.
