Silence Therapeutics plc announced positive topline results from the Phase 2 SANRECO trial of divesiran for polycythemia vera (PV). The trial met its primary endpoint, with an 88% clinical response rate for divesiran versus 19% for placebo. Both dosing regimens showed efficacy: 93.8% for every six weeks and 81.3% for every twelve weeks. Secondary endpoints were also met, including a significant reduction in phlebotomy rates (0.2 vs 2.1 per patient). The drug was well-tolerated with no new safety findings. Based on these results, the company plans to initiate a Phase 3 trial evaluating divesiran for Q12W dosing versus placebo in the first half of 2027.
