Silvercorp raises El Domo construction budget to $298.2M, delays production start to November 2027

Silvercorp Metals updated the capital cost estimate for its El Domo Project in Ecuador to $298.2 million, an increase of $14.6 million from the February 2026 budget of $283.6 million. The revision reflects higher diesel fuel costs due to subsidy removals in Ecuador, additional water management infrastructure required by heavy rainfall, and increased power supply equipment needs. Consequently, the company expects a four-month delay in completion, with production now forecasted for November 1, 2027.
