Silvercorp reports Q2 net income of $5.3M as production drops 45% and GC Mine remains suspended
SVMSilvercorp Metals Inc
Silvercorp Metals Inc. reported net income attributable to equity holders of $5.3 million, or $0.02 per share, for the three months ended September 30, 2026, compared to a loss of $11.5 million in the prior year period. Revenue decreased 13% to $72.1 million due to lower production volumes, partially offset by higher realized silver and gold prices. Silver equivalent production fell 46% to approximately 1.0 million ounces, driven by safety system improvements at the Ying Mining District and a regulatory suspension of operations at the GC Mine in Guangdong Province. The company generated $62.7 million in operating cash flow, supported by a $43.9 million drawdown from its Wheaton Precious Metals agreement. Silvercorp operates silver, gold, lead, and zinc mines primarily in China with development projects in Ecuador and Kyrgyzstan.
