TC Energy closes agreement with five First Nations for economic interest in Coastal GasLink
TCANFTC Energy Corp
TC Energy Corporation announced the closing of an agreement with FN CGL Pipeline Limited Partnership, an Indigenous-led investment entity representing five British Columbia First Nations. Under the deal, the Haisla Nation, Halfway River First Nation, McLeod Lake Indian Band, Saulteau First Nations, and West Moberly First Nations will obtain an economic interest in the entity holding TC Energy’s limited partner interest in the Coastal GasLink pipeline. This transaction provides participating communities with long-term financial returns from the infrastructure project. A second related Indigenous investment transaction involving additional First Nations is expected to close in Q4 2026. TC Energy operates as a leader in North American energy infrastructure, moving natural gas and connecting LNG exports to global markets.
